I saw the negative characterization of the Chico Wildflower in this months newsletter and want to share my overall impression of it so no one is dissuaded from doing it in the future. I find it to be a great Century--with enthusiastic volunteers and support, wonderfully stocked rest stops with unique local food, and a course that is demanding but not punitive. I agree that some of the roads are rough but luckily this is mostly found on the uphill sections that have virtually no auto traffic. The whole atmosphere is festive, with many cycling clubs having a large turnout on this ride. Overall, I consider it the 2nd best Century ride I've done.
