We used to have a Saturday road ride, but there wasn't much interest in it, so we removed it last month. Now that we're in Century Season, there are organized rides, community events, club rides and our annual Olema camp trip taking up every Saturday now through the end of June.
If you want to lead/plan a ride, the best bet would be to get hold of Bonnie Flansburg. She is our Ride Coordinator and can help you plan something. She goes by Velogal on this board, and you can find her e-mail in her profile. If you need her phone number, please send me an e-mail to webmaster at deltaped dot org and I can send it to you.
PS - Bonnie left for a ride to Yosemite on Sunday. I know she arrives today, but am not sure when she will be returning. It may be a few days before she can get back to you.

In addition to the upcoming organized tours (mostly on Saturdays), there's always the Sunday club ride, now starting at Panama Bay at 8 am each week. Please feel free to contact Bonnie to lead an out-of-area club ride anytime. Check the club website for upcoming club rides so that there is not a conflict with other rides. Of course, it's always nice to have a couple of options but too many choices could result in a smaller turn-out for each of the rides.

Sundays are not good for me because I go to church in the morning and evening. When I was with the Fremont Freewheelers, they always have Saturday rides.

I prefer Saturday rides too because it gives me a change to recover before going back to work on Monday. It's funny why the Sunday ride is popular, but the Saturday ride was never.

There are usually people riding on Saturday.
I usually race, ride with the WOT out of Pleasanton (good group), or do a training ride. Difficult to organize since some want to ride hard, distances vary. Maybe we should go back to casual posting - this Saturday I'm racing Santa Nella road race. |

then perhaps the following saturday we can start at 8:00 a.m. for 35-50 miler.
should we meet at the prewitt park parking lot (west side) for the saturday rides? kent

If you'd like to offer to lead a Saturday morning MTB ride regularly (not necessarily weekly, even 1-2 x per month), go for it!

Hey guys and gals it would be nice to have a early morning training ride. As for a ride leader we need a volunteer, I'm alittle out of control . I would be a good support rider but not a good leader. We would all get tickets for being on the single tracks!

ok guys. i spoke to Joann about starting a saturday morning mt bike ride. she sais it is ok but i have to contact Bonnie to make it an official Peddler ride. i would be more than happy to lead this ride. are we looking for a ride every saturday or every other saturday? Take note that i currently have a 27 speed cross bike and i am limited to fire trails and "some" single track (i am beginning to look at full suspension xc bike though). Kent

Kent, A regular mountain bike ride sounds great! You might want to make it the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month or 2nd and 4th if you choose to lead it twice monthly. Let me know Time, location, etc......
Thanks, Bonnie |
