I did the race last year with Jerry Post, Chong Yi, and Bob Blattner. The singletrack uphill was tough for me, people fell in front of me and there was no where to go.
I crashed 5 times in my race - of course it was the first time I rode my mountain bike last year. It's a fun course, if you want to be competitive, hammer the hill from the start.
Good luck - I'll probably be doing a crit. |

RACE UPDATE,
There's no way anyone could of asked for a better day for a race! Blue skies, no wind and thank good I had the first race of the day. I finished mid-pack and my son Reese (the youngest and smallest rider) finished 53rd out of 60!!!! He's only 10 years old and had to race against the high school teams ages 16 and under.
See you at the Sea Otter!! We'll be camping at site 86, stop on by.

Maurice & Reese
Way to go! (I don't like this age thing either when I have to go against people 12 years younger)
