We've updated our website with pics from our trip to Death Valley. We didn't take any the day of the century, but we did take a LOT while out hiking.
The link is below.

Well done, Dysons. You really captured the place. Way to bring it back home to share - and thanks.

Spectacular photos! Thanks so much for sharing them. The panoramas are really interesting: what make and type of camera do you use? The colors and level of detail, depth of field, are exceptional. Those dunes look almost sensual. Kudos!

Hi Tony,
Thanks for the kind words. Veronica uses her Sony DSC-P10, an ultra small point and shoot. I use an Olypmus E-10. The Oly is a little old, almost 3 years I think, but it is holding up well. It is a high end consumer camera with a very nice lens. Both digital of course. Both can produce some great shots, if you point them at the right subject. :)
Both cameras have occasional image noise issues, so I use Neat Image to clean up some shots. The panoramas are done with Pano Tools, and PT Assembler.

Thanks for info, Thom. You've really inspired me to read the manual on my camera (Nikon CoolPix 4500) and to finally find out what digital 'noise' means.
Cheers

Lovely photos V&T.; I am a big Baja fan so these photos reminded me of some past images of the desert south of the border. Thanks! joann |
