While cycling in Walnut Creek yesterday, I figured it was high time to pay a visit to one of the club sponsors, Perfection Cyclery. The small shop is tucked away in a downtown alley between Main and Locust Streets, but what they lack in size, they more than make up for in service. Jim McFarland had the parts I needed in stock (he offers a 10% discount to the Delta Pedalers). I offered to return later in the afternoon rather than interrupt his work on another bike, but he stopped what he was doing to replace my bottom bracket, brake pads and perform a derailleur adjustment (while I visited with Thom Dyson who came by to pick up a repaired wheel). I was able to avoid having to drive back to the shop, thus, we both did our good deed for Earth Day!
Jim lives in far east CoCoCo and will provide pick-up and delivery free of charge to Delta Pedaler members and 24-hour turn around time on all regular service. Also, he offers mobile service at least every other Sunday if you become stuck out on the road during a ride in the east county area.

| Two more satisfied customers! Bonnie and I contacted Jim on Tuesday and inquired about having her Trek and my Klein tuned up etc. Jim came to our office yesterday and picked up our bikes at 10am. He contacted me during the day to make sure that he had done everything I needed and actually offered to drive our bikes home to Antioch! Bonnie had him deliver her bike home. I was spending the evening with our beloved President, Mother Mary who is recovering from knee surgery when Jim called to let me know that he had my bike home with him ready to return to me. He is delivering my bike to my office this morning......I might add, free of charge. Now that is service! Please consider visiting our newest sponsor! |

What a small world!, I was talking to my pizza delivery guy awhile back and he mentioned his father owns a small bicycle shop in Walnut Creek called Perfection Cyclery. This same shop also is a sponser of www.mtdiablotri.org , a triathlon club here in Contra Costa County. And to top it off we where at the BMX races in San Ramon www.sanramonbmx.com earlier this year and BAM! the owner has his son out there racing too!!!!
