As mentioned in the newsletter, the Delta Pedalers will be participating in the Antioch Rivertown July 4th Parade. Come on out and join us - wear a fun jersey, decorate your favorite bike, and have some fun. Bring the whole family!
We are to meet at 4pm at our staging area - W 3rd Street between D St. and E St. Meet at cone #66 (our entry number). The parade starts at 5pm. [More info on the parade]
Lessons learned from last year: - Bring water!! You'll be standing in the sun for a while before the parade starts. Last year it was VERY hot.
- Bring sunscreen. (See the above notation about standing in the sun)
- Be prepared to ride slowly and stop a lot. It's a parade, not a paceline.
- Have fun!! This one is mandatory.
Anyone who doesn't want (or isn't able) to ride is invited to join as well. Last year I was just a few days out of my arm cast, so I helped carry the DP banner. The more the merrier!
