Some of you have indicated an interest in participating in my efforts to "man" an info booth at the Brentwood Corn Fest from July 9-11. I will be disemminating literature about the Lance Armstrong Foundation and its cancer survivorship programs and holding an unofficial Delta Pedaler membership drive. Approximately 40,000 visitors are expected and I'm hoping that there will be plenty of interest in the LAF as the festival falls during the Tour de France (Although Brentwood may be a Bike Friendly Community :-), I doubt that we will be seeing much spandex. On the other hand, 3 of every 4 families will be affected by cancer at some point so maybe we can reach someone!) We will have a couple of trainers set up so that you can even get in your daily "mileage" while pedaling for pennies and big bucks. The festival runs Friday, July 9, 5-9 pm; Saturday, July 10 (10 am to 9 pm), and Sunday, July 11, 12-5 pm, I think)
I'd be most appreciative of any assisitance you can provide by helping out at the booth, perhaps for a 2-4 hour shift?? Free admission and there is a great fireworks show Saturday night!

Calling all Pedalers....
My thanks to Dave, Tony S, Chris States, Kent, and Veronica and Thom for their offers to help out at the LAF booth during the Corn Fest. I can use even more help if anyone has a couple of hours to spare! No experience necessary.(I have vendor passes for free admission, a special gift for my assistants and my undying gratitude.
I'll even feed you! OK, and you don't have to wear the cow costume.)
The hours of the Corn Fest have been revised.....5-10 pm Friday, July 9; 10 am -10 pm Saturday, July 10 (but I'm hoping to cut out early in order to enjoy the fireworks); 10 am to 6 pm Sunday, July 11.
