Head's up - there's two new additions to the Club Rides page. Mike and Rynie are hosting a mountain bike ride on Sunday, and the 8th annual BART Bike Bridge and Boat ride has been scheduled.

I been looking forward to this ride since last year. If I remember it was called the "5B" ride: Bike, Bart, Bridge, Boat and 'BURRITO'!
Had some great photo spots; Marin headlands/Golden Gate Bridge, eveyone trying to repair Jan's broken chain, the "City" from the ferry on the bay, Jan taking her bike back to a local bike store (via taxi) to get a new chain.
Only problem was having to make to Clear Lake the next morning for the "Pedal The Puddle" ride.

Has anyone taken a tandem on this ride?

We are going to take ours. But we're going to drive in, park at lower Fort Mason and go to the Maritime National Historical Park first. Then meet the group at Justin Herman Plaza at 10.

Yeah - I'm really bummed about the date. We're doing Death Valley that day (maybe a century and a half.)

I'm off track now, so if you need a riding buddy on your days off let me know.

From BART rules
Bicyclists must use elevator or stairs, not escalators, and always walk bikes.

I thought that the Burley was going to be a workout going up the stairs at Embarcadero. Assuming the elevator works.

V...maybe next Tuesday or Wednesday? And don't forget that I'm leaving for Austin, Tex-Ass on October 23...I owe you a Lance autograph! Call me (516-7734). I'll be up in Lakeport all weekend for Pedal the Puddle until Sunday evening.

For a map and hieroglyphic-looking written directions for the Tunitas Creek/Old La Honda ride on Sun, Oct 19 go to www.geocities.com/gruppopumpkincycle2003/grouppopumpkincycle24.html (thank Jay for that doozy)

Tunitas Creek Map
Joann has the correct link above, but it didn't work for some reason. To download a map try clicking on this. (prints much better than it displays on the screen)

The Tunitas Creek loop is one of the great all time rides. The map is in place so Joann doesn't take us (again) on the "southern loop" as an alternative--also known as "Tunitas Creek from Hell." So, if we wind up on something called "Alpine Road," we are all in big big trouble.
