First Annual The Bay-in-A-Day Double Century
Event Date: July 23, 2025

Circumnavigate San Francisco Bay in 1 Day!

>From the mountains to the sea, you will experience the richness that the San Francisco Bay Area has to offer, as you have never seen it before! You'll cycle through 8 counties and 35 cities, cross 2 bridges, see history, industry, and the homes of the rich and famous!

Starting in bucolic Novato, you'll see the wetlands and grazing cows of the North Bay, view historic Mare Island Shipyard, before crossing over to the East Bay, via the new Zampa (Carquinez) bridge. Youll then ride thru the refineries of Crockett/Rodeo, the suburbs of Hercules and Pinole, and enjoy the incredible views of San Francisco Bay while cruising along Skyline Boulevard in the Oakland Hills.

Moving south and west, you will descend to the flat urban/suburban areas of Castro Valley, Hayward, and Fremont. Zip through the industrial parks of Silicon Valley, and view the largest dirigible hanger in the world, at Moffatt Field, before arriving at the lunch stop in Palo Alto.

Turning north after lunch, youll climb into the West Bay hills, and view the mansions of Woodside. Continue north alongside the Crystal Springs Reservoir and along the crest of the West Bay hills, with views of the Bay, and Peninsula communities.

Reaching San Francisco, you'll ride along the Pacific Ocean on the scenic Great Highway. Then into Golden Gate Park, the historic Presidio, and across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County. In Marin County, you'll pass through beautiful Sausalito with its great stores, restaurants, and incredible views, and follow the Bay on Paradise Drive. Coming into central Marin County, youll ride through historic China Camp, and go through San Rafael and Novato, to the start/finish and a well-deserved post-ride dinner and rest.

This scenic and highly enjoyable ride features 9 stops with food, a 1st

Annual The Bay in A Day Double Century patch, and a catered dinner at the finish line.

This event is a benefit for the Bay Area Bicycle Coalition, and is co-produced by the Quackcyclists, the Grizzly Peak Cyclists, the Oakland Yellowjackets, the Cherry City Cyclists, the Fremont Freewheelers, the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition, the Western Wheelers, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition and the Marin County Bicycle Coalition.
