Hey Pedalers and Bike Fans,
Just wanted to alert and invite all of you to a grand fund raiser benefiting the Lance Armstrong Foundation and it's mission of cancer survivorship. The event will take place the afternoon of Sunday, July 20 at Knoll Farms in Brentwood and will feature gourmet appetizers and beverages, racing videos, music by John Coker's amazing band, Los Fugitivos de Stress. There will be door prizes, 50:50 raffle, silent and live auction for items such as autographed posters and SF 49er memorabilia, a stay at gorgeous Club Cascadas in Cabo San Lucas and Sea Ranch. Oh! And I don't want to forget...be sure to be on hand as Joann (me!) and friends Chris States (another cancer survivor) and Julie Booher Shave Their Heads For the Roses in tribute to cancer survivors everywhere! The highest bidders earn the honor to give us the buzz cut (or a group can pool their money and everyone can take a swipe...if you draw blood, however, you pay double!) Tickets to go on sale soon.
