If you have been there (like Dave Stoeffler’s now teenage grandkids) you already know about our annual camping trip to the Spicer Group Campground. If you don’t know, Spicer Reservoir is off of highway 4 at 6700 feet and our campground is  completely separate from the family campground. It’s a beautiful area with great bike riding, both road and mountain. There is also hiking, swimming, fishing and boating.  Our campground has many tent sites and room for 6 RVs. You can take part in a few group activities or do your own thing. On Saturday there is a ride up to Lake Alpine, or further, or less, if you want to. That evening we have a group pot luck and a campfire. It’s a great place for families. Lot’s of rocks that kids love to climb on and dogs are even welcome. There is a pavilion in the middle with picnic tables and BBQs. There is piped water and toilets. Ask someone who has been there. It is a great place. You can go for all three days or come when you can, but you must sign up and pay. We are doing it differently this year. If we don’t fill up with our members we are going to invite other bike club members to attend. We haven’t set the exact deadline for our members yet, but it probably be in mid June. So, you better sign up now….. To sign up, or for more information, you can call or e-mail Dave Stoeffler at 925-628-2671 or dstoeffler@sbcglobal.net. It’s easy to pay using the PayPal button below.
